Pre-Construction Meetings

We’re getting closer to construction… We had a meeting at the job site this week.  This was a meeting with the City of Redding’s Public Works staff to discuss the City’s requirements and to ensure that we follow all City rules.  The meeting was led by our Construction Superintendent and was attended by over a dozen folks associated with the project.  We had representatives from Slater & Son, Trilogy Architecture, Public Works, electrical and grading subcontractors, engineers, environmental specialists and a couple of us from Hill Country. It was a good gathering of many members of the construction team and associates.
After that meeting we went to the City Planning office to meet with the Plan Check Engineer.  This meeting was to discuss the special inspections that will take place throughout construction.  Inspectors will look at the structural steel, concrete, welding, and other areas of construction to ensure the Center of Hope is built to current building codes.
After the meeting, Construction Superintendent Jackson picked up the official building permits as well as the approved plans for the Center of Hope and housing unit.  He’s ready to build, now we just need to give him the approval, which will be done once the financing is finalized… Stay tuned for (hopefully) exciting news next week!

A big thank you to Julio, the City of Redding’s Plan Check Engineer, who worked with us at the Special Inspections meeting.
