Progress Photos From This Week

I wanted to share some photos with you of the Center of Hope construction site from this week.   Steel-Crete is putting the beams and framing together quickly.  The progress is noticeable upon each visit to the site.

This photo was taken just outside the main entrance to the lobby.  When completed there will be a set of automatic glass sliding doors ready to open in to the lobby.

If the building was complete, the scissor lift in the photo would be in the lobby as you walk towards Medical check-in.  There will be a wall of glass windows on the left looking out to a quiet landscaped area where guest can sit and listen to the sound of a small waterfall feature.

The framed walls of the Medical exam rooms are in place.

This is looking down a hallway in the Medical wing.  Exam rooms are to the left, the Medical lab is to the right.

The walls are framed with metal studs.  Here is a stack of the metal base plates that are secured to the concrete.  The metal studs are secured to this to frame the walls.  Unlike a house, this building is not constructed from 2x4s made of wood.

A large construction forklift is used by Steel-Crete to hoist the steel beams into place.  The crew then secures the beams with large nuts and bolts.

This large and open space is the Dental wing.  Above Dental will be the Administration suite and large meeting room.  A portion of our Behavioral Health staff will be housed on the second floor as well.  There will be an elevator and stairwell to gain access to this area.
