One Year Ago...

One year ago today we broke ground at the Center of Hope.  This parcel of land covered by weeds and scattered oak trees is now well on the way to being transformed into a clinic that will provide extra support to those in the community with complex health and social needs.

The Groundbreaking Ceremony was attended by Hill Country staff and a variety of VIPs from the Round Mountain and Redding communities.

The Center of Hope was a dream of Nick Cutler, our CFO.  With the help of those in attendance at the groundbreaking and countless others, Nick's dream is coming to life.

Everyone, not just the VIPs, had a chance to use the golden shovels to dig into the ground to turn the dirt.

These VIPs from Hill Country Accounting, Dental and Maintenance Departments got their turn as well.

A year ago we had dirt and weeds, now we have a bustling construction site.

We have paint on the walls in the Dental wing.

Craftsmen are installing the restroom tiling with precision and attention to detail.

A waterfall of CAT5 cable has been pulled from all areas of the first floor to the junction where they will be pulled up to the server room on the second floor.
How would you like to be the person that determines where all these cables came from?

The housing unit is progressing according to schedule.

We have accomplished so much in one year.  A year from now the Center of Hope will be open and providing services and jobs to the Redding community.
Thank you for continuing to follow this blog along the journey to the Center of Hope's Grand Opening next year.

A really big Thank You to Nick Cutler for dreaming the dream of the Center of Hope!
