Hard at Work

The crew has been hard at work at the Center of Hope.  Outside the crew continues to install the siding on the building.  Here they are working on the elevator shaft.

The final coat before the paint looks like a gray cement.  Getting the surface smooth is a skill that this team has developed through years of experience.

They are starting to prepare the grounds for the landscaping that will be put in.  First they need to have a level surface to work with.

Inside the painters have painted the lobby.  They spray the paint on because it is so much quicker than using a roller or paint brush.

Before they can paint they need to tape a protective film over windows and doorways.

But before they can paint, the drywall needs to be installed.  Here the crew is putting up drywall in one of the Housing units.  It's a two person job and these gentlemen were fast!  You can tell by watching them work that they have years of experience.

The crew installing tile in the restrooms used a wet tile saw to cut the tiles to size.  It's wet and dirty work and the crew spends a lot of time on their knees (which is why they wear fancy kneepads as you can see in the photo).

The Tech team has been on site to inspect the cable work and insure that everything has been installed.  These are all the cables that have been pulled up into the Server Room, waiting for the racks and switches to be installed.

No update is complete until you see the status of the Medical Assistant Stations.  Here the upper counter has been installed.

Here is a rooftop view of the skylights above the MA Stations.  It's a really nice addition to the Medical wing, bringing natural lighting into the building.

Not every room has natural lighting.  And some rooms have no lighting at the moment while the electricians install the wiring and lights throughout the clinic.  Here in the Dental Lab a crew member has had to bring in their own light to see their work area.

The sun continues to shine on the Center of Hope.  It won't be pink and yellow for much longer...
